During one of the lockdowns of 2020 I thought it would be fun to take a well known, beautiful portrait by Vermeer and gently ruin it. I found the experience so enjoyable I then did it with some other well known, beautiful paintings. I shall probably do a few more in the future too, though I do tend to get a bit carried away with the detail.
